Quaint refuge between two stages of the Alta Via 2. The staff are friendly, location is great for making a quick trip to the Schlutterhütte. Would recommend you either speak German or Italian to secure a private room. Also it is inadvisable to not eat their dinner.

Food is absolutely excellent, but careful about the portions, they are gigantic. Everything we tried was excellent, fresh, well cooked, well seasoned. Service was also excellent, with good spirit and efficient.

Lovely first stop on our Av2 hike , good alternative to Plose that is currently closed if not a bit further. Rooms are basic but nice and shared showers / toilets are clean and work very well. The food was of good standard for a rifugio but is not included in price as it is in many other huts.

What a lovely place! We were on the way back from Peitlerkofel and luckily, this place was still open. You walk inside and it’s warm, you feel welcome, service is fast and super friendly and food is delicious! We had Wiener Schnitzel and Gerstenrisotto, very good! Real fresh homemade food

Great food, great room, showers, clean, well priced, lovely people, what more do you need? The man didn’t speak fluent English, I need to learn German - but nevertheless tried his best and there were no issues at all!

Delicious food. Staff was very nice and we only had to wait 5-10 minutes before our food was served. Definitely going to visit again in the future!
